Reconnect with your body’s innate wisdom. Come connect, strengthen and relax in a safe, open community of other pregnant women. This class emphasizes poses that are ideal for pregnant women focusing on breathing, flexibility, relaxation and toning. Build the courage and strength necessary during pregnancy and labour. Work on maintaining agility that will help you recover after the birth of your baby. This class is a great way to meet other pregnant women and to connect with the life growing within you. All levels welcome at any stage in your pregnancy. No previous yoga experience required.

How to prepare

Please bring your yoga mat with you, a water bottle and comfortable clothes to practice in. 889 offers complimentary towels and lockers that are available to you with locks included. If you will be practicing barre at 889 barre socks are required. You can purchase barre socks at 889. You do not need a mat for barre with the exception of Derek's barre class on Monday. 889 holds time with the highest integrity. We are committed to starting and ending classes on time. Studio doors close precisely at class start time. Late entry is not permitted.

How to get there

Located just north on Yonge St. from Davenport. Easily accessible by both Bloor & Rosedale subway stations. Parking is available directly across from the studio, and is offered at $5 for 2 hours via the app, Honkmobile. Input the zode ID "889Y" to access this rate. First time with us? Tasha was such a joy to have a class with. She was incredibly helpful and great with instruction. She is an excellent prenatal instructor!

Would be a five - great teacher and class but to cram 10 pregnant people in a room that size is cruel - teacher had to teach using only words and no demonstrations because there was no room for her to have a mat

Rating based on the teacher who I believe is a sub. Spent a good chunk of the class meditating, at 8 months pregnant it is hard to sit for that long. Some of the moves were not pregnant friendly.
