About this class

This hybrid class focuses on technique of the movement and the connection of mind and body while utilizing the state of the art M3 Megaformer machine to create flow and stamina. 8 Springs offers a modernized approach to the classical Pilates method. When the mind connects to the body every exercise becomes more intense. Muscles you never knew you had will burn and shake while targeting your core in every exercise. Pilates improves posture, alignment, and prevents injuries by strengthening the intrinsic muscles that are often overlooked in other workouts. In this class we will target the large muscle groups as well as the finer muscle groups leaving your body lean, toned, and more flexible!

How to prepare

If it's your first class, arrive at least 15 minutes before class to settle in. Please make sure to bring water and grip socks to aid you during your Megaformer session. If you don't have grip socks, they are sold in the studio. Socks are a requirement! If you are taking a TRX or TBS class, be sure to wear sneakers!

How to get there

The studio is on the corner of 18th and Coles Street. There is FREE PARKING. Make sure to get your ticket validated with our front desk staff.

Julia is THE best instructor anywhere. In the whole tri-state area. She cares about your form and technique; she explains the muscles, fibers, what were supposed to feel happening & Just as important..what happens if you do it incorrectly so that we can become more aware of our body positioning for better & best results. She takes her job seriously; you can tell shes passionate & she actually cares about doing an excellent job. She keeps it fun & empowers you do your best but also to recognize your bodys limits to train in the correct form. I challenge any instructor to be as good as her.

So good! Julia is great- this class was maybe tougher than traditional mega!

I love the Pilates on the Mega class, more so than the regular Megaformer class. I like that it is more toning while lengthening and has more spinal mobility. The other classes are too leg heavy and always the same old routine. Only thing I would say about this class is add more correction to form!

New to me class format but have taken Lauren's 40 min Megaformer class before too. Tiny bit of a slower pace than some other Mega classes here - nonetheless still challenging on the equipment! We were on the machine the entire time. I liked that this class has a Pilates twist so there were a few different moves we did. Lauren also did a good job to explain each move and demonstrate. Worked the entire body - arms legs and a lot of core. Can't wait to go back!
