Having a strong upper body will help you not only in the studio but also in real life situations (hello city grocery shopping!).<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n[sc name=&#8221;saveupto70off&#8221; ]\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Five arm exercises to add into your next arm workout routine:<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Arnold curl<\/li><li>Chin-ups<\/li><li>Plank up-downs<\/li><li>Skullcrushers<\/li><li>Medicine ball slams<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=t6y22Dss2tw\">1. Arnold Curl<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a favorite of mine for several reasons \u2014 not only does it look super advanced, but it also helps work nearly every muscle in your arms depending on which variation you choose. You\u2019ll work your shoulders, biceps and even the corners of your armpits! For the full curl, start with a regular bicep curl on the way up. You can also keep your elbows elevated as you curl inward and outward to press for added shoulder sculpting. Opt for a medium to heavy set of dumbbells for this exercise, and complete four sets of eight to twelve repetitions.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Dumbbell:  Arnold Press by Rebecca Blankfield\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/t6y22Dss2tw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hKBXjG3i_kA\">2. Chin-Ups<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bodyweight exercises can be some of the most effective ways to get stronger, especially when it comes to chin-ups! With this exercise, you will work your biceps and shoulders. Trade your traditional bicep curls for a set of assisted or negative chin-ups (if you\u2019re just starting out). You want these to be challenging, so if you\u2019re using assistance, try and keep the assisted weight to half your body weight, and complete as many reps as you can, four times.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"3 Steps To Your First Chin Up\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hKBXjG3i_kA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=L4oFJRDAU4Q\">3. You will work your triceps, shoulders and chest with this exercise, and get some added core benefits along the way too! Remember to keep your hands and elbows right below your shoulder joints for perfect form. When it comes to arm workouts, you want to be careful how much you incorporate shoulder exercises in order to keep your muscles balanced and healthy. By laying down, you\u2019ll take some gravity off your shoulders, allowing you to really focus on toning your triceps.
