More than anything, it doesn\u2019t happen by wishing, planning or worse, waiting. If you want to become stronger, now\u2019s as good a time as any \u2014 so get to work.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strength and muscular growth is a long term process that requires consistent work over a long period of time, so it&#8217;s unlikely that you will see significant muscular gains in 30 days. However, if you\u2019re looking to build strength in a short amount of time, there are a few safe ways to speed up the process.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Get Stronger:<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Whether you&#8217;re pumping iron in strength training class, running drills in a bootcamp class or practicing your headstand in a yoga class, it\u2019s important to make the most out of your classes by keying in on the different exercises that you can build your strength.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Work to increase your weights and\/or repetitions<\/li><li>Include bodyweight exercises in addition to your weighted exercises<\/li><li>Utilize isolation movements, but also make sure to incorporate full body movements<\/li><li>Improve your technique for better muscle isolation<\/li><li>Work at it consistently<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Get physic(al)<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first step to getting stronger is to increase your weights <em>or<\/em> the number of repetitions you&#8217;re doing in each movement.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sounds simple, doesn\u2019t it? Well, think back to your high school physics class. Mechanical work equals force times distance. This applies directly to your workout \u2014 you get more out of a workout if you add weight and\/or increase movement. Your goal is to overload your muscles.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If for some reason you need to cut back on your weights (or you\u2019re trying an at-home workout), increase your movement to see results. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Mix in bodyweight movements<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yes, lifting weights will obviously build up your muscles but there\u2019s a reason why bodyweight exercises are mixed into workouts. Bodyweight workouts are an effective way to build strength, endurance, flexibility and balance. They&#8217;re a great addition to any workout because they will continue to move the muscle, but without the load of a bar, which can help with overall flexibility and mobility.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our favorite bodyweight exercises include squats, lunges, planks and burpees. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Vary your workout routine<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are very few exercises that target every muscle in the body. In an article in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mensfitness.com\/training\/pro-tips\/trainer-qa-when-change-workout-programs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Men\u2019s Fitness<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, trainer Lee Boyce said, \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For those who are more intermediate lifters, you should consider changing your program as soon as your muscles begin to adapt themselves to a certain style of training. When you notice a major strength plateau, or a lack of physical results, it\u2019s a good time to consider changing the program.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Luckily, that&#8217;s where ClassPass comes in. Watch yourself in the mirror, or have a friend or trainer nearby to catch your mistakes. Try filming yourself and watching the tape. In addition to preventing injury that will undoubtedly set you back, this also makes your muscles work in a more efficient fashion.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Discipline, discipline, discipline<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unless you have a personal trainer or fitness guru as your best friend, it\u2019s up to you to get the job done. Strength won\u2019t happen by lifting dumbbells once a week or doing a few pushups before you head to bed. Find what motivates you and do it.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In an article with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.popsugar.com\/fitness\/How-Become-Stronger-43641447\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">POPSUGAR<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, trainer Liz Letchford, MS, ATC<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> said, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;your muscles will grow according to how much demand is placed on them.\u201d And that couldn\u2019t be more true.
