Here Are The Songs You Worked Out to Most in 2018

As 2018 begins to come to a close, it’s hard not to look back on all our hard work and accomplishments of the past year — including all the classes and workouts we totally crushed! But with every good workout comes a great playlist, and many of us wouldn’t be where we are right now without the catchy beats and powerful lyrics that helped guide us through our workouts, class after class.

So before you say bye to 2018, take a second to listen to some of the tunes that motivated us this past year in class. Here are the top 10 songs that you most definitely worked out to in 2018.

1. No Brainer” by DJ Khaled feat. Justin Bieber

Seriously, having this song on your workout playlist was a no-brainer. We never met a DJ Khaled and Justin Bieber collab we didn’t like, and “No Brainer” did not disappoint.

2. “Freaky Friday” by Lil Dicky feat. Chris Brown

Probably one of our favorite reasons to work out to this song was not just because of the catchy beat, but because the lyrics reminded us of one of our favorite movies from the early 2000s. Honing in on all the different celeb swaps that are alluded to within the lyrics made for some great entertainment while we were sweating it out in class.

3. “Never Be the Same” by Camila Cabello

There’s nothing like a passionate love ballad to get us through a workout, especially when it’s coming from the talented Camila Cabello. She might not have taken us to Havana this year, but she sure did get us to the end of class.

4. “This Is America” by Childish Gambino

Remember the day Childish Gambino’s powerful music video for “This Is America” was released? We do, because it was the same day we added it to our workout playlist immediately.

5. “The Middle” by Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey

Remember this smash hit from wayyyy back in the beginning of 2018? Its catchy beat and passionate lyrics had us belting the song in and out of class.

6. “Solo” by Clean Bandit feat. Demi Lovato

Another year, another motivating Demi Lovato ballad that goes great with a post-breakup workout sesh… or not! We definitely queued up this catchy Clean Bandit song more than a few times during our workouts.

7. “All the Stars” by Kendrick Lamar & SZA

This mashup between rapper Kendrick Lamar and R&B singer SZA may have gotten stuck in our heads one or two times, but it never ceased to push us through our workouts.

8. “God’s Plan” by Drake

The same song that inspired “I only love my bed and my momma” Instagram captions everywhere most definitely made it onto your workout playlist this year. And we’re definitely not complaining…

9. “I Like It” by Cardi B feat. Bad Bunny & J Balvin

This new twist on an old favorite certainly made our workouts much more enjoyable this year. How could you not like your workout when this beat was accompanying it?

10. “Thank U, Next” by Ariana Grande

Last but certainly not least, Ariana Grande’s hit song giving a shout out to her notorious exes is a song that will likely follow us into 2019. Give us an empowering, female-led breakup ballad and we’re in for an amazing workout.
