As a freelancer who travels quite a bit for work, ClassPass has been crucial in keeping me healthy while I’m on the road. The ability to take classes in various cities was the reason I signed up several years ago, and I have been a loyal user ever since. Now, ClassPass has made it even easier for people with hectic schedules to work out, and they’ve made it FREE. That’s right — you don’t have to be a ClassPass member to access this free app.
The ClassPass Go audio workout app has hundreds of instructor-guided workouts across multiple workout genres. Each workout is set to a music playlist, and it’s super easy to find classes that are right for you across beginner, intermediate or advanced levels. The app is ideal for any frequent travelers with limited time or those who just want to squeeze a workout in whenever it’s most convenient for them.
Here’s what happened when I used ClassPass Go for a week while I was traveling.
I had no excuses
A typical work trip for me is 3-4 days, and I will generally take a workout class on most of them — but it’s really easy to find an excuse not to work out at least one or two days of the trip. Tired from the flight, my hotel was further away from the studio than I thought, etc. But with classes like a 6-minute “Quickie Core” or an 8-minute “Good Morning” yoga flow, I was able to make the time each day of the week for movement.
I tried new things
The beauty of ClassPass is that it’s never boring. You can take a boxing, running, yoga and spin class all in the same week if you want. However, the thought of branching out from your favorite studios or your favorite workout genres can be intimidating to many people. There are certain workouts I’ve never tried just because of nervousness. With ClassPass Go I actually tried some HIIT classes that I never would’ve dared try at a studio.
I had more time on my hands
Being able to access workouts anywhere and anytime saved me the struggle of having to find a new studio, and travel back and forth. I wasn’t limited to time constraints or unfamiliar classes, because I had workout classes at my fingertips the whole time. It allowed me to work out when it was truly most convenient for me.
It’s going to strengthen my yoga practice
While I try to diversify my workouts, yoga is my go-to. It’s my “safe space” in that it nourishes my mind, body and soul. So much so that after some yoga classes I want to keep going. However, I’m not skilled enough to come up with my own flows. Trying ClassPass Go for a week allowed me to wake up and do a guided flow with a professional instructor every day. Most days, I took yoga classes through my regular ClassPass app. And some nights I even settled in a with a flow or guided meditation. Having that type of access to instructors at my fingertips is certainly going to strengthen my practice.
Overall, I felt really good about my ClassPass Go experience over the past week, and am looking forward to having this tool in my workout arsenal. The convenience of having an instructor in your back pocket, ready to teach you at a moment’s notice, is incredibly valuable on your path to wellness.
