8 Things to Pack for Your Adult Spring Break Trip

The sun is starting to break out, bits of green are sprouting up here and there, and we’re finally getting ready to say bye once and for all (okay, for about six more months) to our long sleeves and heavy coats. And if some of us should be so lucky, we’re checking off days on the calendar and dusting off our suitcases for a good old-fashioned spring break.

And even if you’re only living your college days through #tbt Instagrams, you can still have an amazing spring break as an adult. The only things it takes? Some relaxation, good company and just a few of our favorite vacation must-haves:

One-piece bathing suit

Bikinis, we love you, but the moment one-pieces came back in the style, we practically did a cannonball off the diving board in celebration. Not only are one-piece bathing suits super cute, they’re the perfect accessory to bring on  vacation when you want to grab a quick lap in the pool before relaxing with your girlfriends.

SPF-infused makeup

We all know you’re going to be taking Instagrams on Instagrams while on spring break with your girlfriends, which means you want you —and your skin—to look and feel its best. Packing some SPF-infused makeup in your suitcase is a must to keep your skin protected and looking good. Just don’t forget to pack some regular sunscreen as well to keep the rest of your body healthy while soaking up the sun.
Try: UV Protective Compact Foundation SPF 36 from Shiseido – $28

Sand socks

Just because you’re on a getaway doesn’t mean you have to get away from your workout routine! If you’re feeling like getting in a run or two while on spring break, these sand socks will help you take advantage of those incredible beach views while you can. Not only do they protect your feet from the hot sand, they’re also light enough to squeeze into your suitcase.

Baseball cap

An accessory that’s stylish and protects your face and sun from the heat? Yes, please! Even better, grab a few extra pairs for you and your squad to rock beachside or while playing tourists and exploring the area.

Backpack with a sneaker compartment

Unfortunately, most traveling requires bags on bags on bags. But if you want to keep up your fitness routine while on the go, we recommend ditching your gym bag and bringing along a backpack with a sneaker compartment instead. That way, you can easily swap out your flip-flops for some sneaks whenever you want to switch to something active, but not have to worry about lugging around multiple bags or running back to your hotel room. Bonus: it makes for a great carry-on bag.

Water dumbbells

It’s hard enough to not exceed the suitcase weight limit while packing for adult spring break, let alone trying to bring on some workout accessories on the plane. These travel-sized water weights are the perfect solution if you want to fit in a few reps in between beach seshes. Just fill ‘em up with as much water as you’d like and you can get your workout in anywhere and everywhere.

Fitbit bangle

Every spring break suitcase needs some fun, flirty outfits to dance the night away with, right? Feel free to look your best and get your steps in, too. This adorable bangle lets you accessorize while also tracking your moves on the dance floor.

Beachy workout tanks

Whether you actually fit in any exercising on spring break or not, we could all agree that having a beachy workout tank is a must when the sun’s out. Go for a hike or lounge by the pool—either way you’ll be celebrating the sunshine in style.
