You’re More Likely to Show Up On Time to This Appointment Than a Date

Especially during this time of year, we all want to find our perfect match. But, according to a new study conducted by Zocdoc, the relationship that we have with our doctor is just as important to us as a romantic one, and we’re willing to go the distance to get to them.

Whether you have thought about finding a caregiver this way or not, it really is an awful lot like dating, until you find your medical perfect match and know they are “the one.”

Truth: first impressions matter just as much when meeting with a doctor for the first time time, just like going on a date. Zocdoc’s data shares that more Americans care about a doctor who is punctual on their first visit (78 percent) than a romantic interest on a first date (61 percent). And of course, asking important questions and actually listening to patients will create that lasting relationship we’re looking for.

Furthermore, 7 out of 10 of us are more likely to travel further for a great doctor that we truly love than staying local for a doctor that we feel just “meh” about.

You can check out Zocdoc for all the data they have compiled, but one thing is for certain: healthcare and finding a great provider is much more important than ever, so make sure it’s a priority in your life. Your heart will thank you.
