It’s true: NYC is the “City That Never Sleeps.” But, there are some benefits that come from catching fewer zzz’s, including more time to fit in a workout. Whether you’re jogging through Central Park or riding your bike to brunch, it’s evident that people in the Big Apple love to stay active.
Recently, we released data highlighting fitness trends across the United States. We looked at each of our 39 cities and examined ClassPasser behavior. And we must admit, the results are pretty awesome. Overall, ClassPassers agree that strength training is their favorite way to break a sweat and Tuesday is the best day to work out.
Want to know how your city stacks up?
Our research shows New Yorkers prefer to sweat it out in cycling classes. And you also like to get your workout in on your way home from work—that way you have time to let out your stress from the workday before settling in for the night. Here’s what sets NYC ClassPassers apart: You’re considered the most adventurous, always trying classes out of your comfort zone.
