Book a class with your fitness bestie and keep the good times rolling with post-class plans outdoors. Here are some of our favorite things to do to make the most of summer (post-sweat, of course).

People watch in the park
After an early morning class grab a small bite or cold smoothie to enjoy at a table in the park. You’ll be able to soak up that early morning sunlight your body has been craving all winter, and you might even find yourself entertained by some of the characters that have been known to frequent our parks.
Frozen treats to go
We’re talking about fro-yo – yeah it’s still a thing. There are so many guilt free options these days, there’s really no reason to deprive yourself. If you don’t have a ton of hang time after class, at least take advantage of the beautiful weather by grabbing a fro-yo to go.
Take a leisurely bike ride
There’s something that’s just so summery about cruising around on a bike. Many cities have a bike share program that is an accessible option for those brave enough to navigate the city streets. Ride slow, take in the summer rays and use it as your cool down.
Dance to the beat
Summer is for music festivals. There are a ton of music performances throughout the city all season and with the growing fashion element appearing in activewear lines, a midday concert is the perfect place to showcase funky printed leggings and edgy crops. Out in the sun all day, you’re only going to get more sweaty so don’t even bother to change.
Indulge in a variety of street food
Head over to one of the many food festivals that take place in the summery months by checking your city’s local calendar of events. You can opt for a healthy option – like sliced watermelon or smoothies – or indulge in something a bit more fried to reward yourself for that sweat sesh.
Go to the movies…outside
From mid-May to early-September, most cities have an outdoor movie series in various parks. Look up show times, squeeze in a class and head to a flick with friends.
Rooftop happy hour
You’ve earned this. Treating yourself to a summery adult beverage on an outdoor terrace, riverfront, or glorious rooftop will do just the trick. There’s a literally endless list of locations around the city where it’s perfectly acceptable to hang out in Yoga pants, sipping a margarita and sharing the guac with your hardworking fitness pals.
