5 Ways to Make Your Iced Coffee Addiction Better for You

If you haven’t already switched from hot coffee to iced, you’ll likely be making the change soon. While you probably have your own routine and preference for how you take your iced coffee, daily habits add up, so it’s always good to try out new ways to make them even healthier.

Whether you make your own iced brew or pick it up on the way to work, here are a few ideas to get you thinking differently about your morning cup of joe:

Milk and Honey Iced Coffee

While it might not be the first thing that comes to mind, honey in iced coffee makes an excellent sweetener. Plus, it helps you stay away from artificial sweeteners and refined white sugar.

Cinnamon Iced Coffee

Another great alternative sweetener is cinnamon. It works particularly well with a cold brew and adds a slightly different flavor that you just might love.

Iced Coffee with Vanilla Extract

In addition to cinnamon, vanilla extract is another healthy and natural flavor that doesn’t require added sugar. Tip: Make and chill the brew ahead of time to really bring out the flavor.

Coconut Water Iced Coffee

If you’re dairy free, this is a perfect option. The coconut water adds natural sweetness and added potassium. You won’t even miss the milk.

Iced Coffee Protein Shake

If you’re really feeling creative, try this protein-packed coffee shake in the morning. The protein will keep you feeling full until lunch, and you can even swap in cottage cheese if you don’t have protein powder on hand (you won’t even taste it!).
