6 Breakfast Toasts That Will Rock Your Morning

If avocado is your middle name: Avocado & Egg Breakfast Toast
Why you need to try it: If you think spice is nice, this breakfast will kick things up a few notches for you. What’s even better is that it’s quite filling and healthy – filled with good fats from the avocado (thank you, Omega-3s!) and chock-full of protein from the egg white. Drip a little sriracha on that baby and you’ll be fully satisfied until lunchtime. If you’re dairy free, skip the cheese and we promise it’ll taste just as good.
Ingredients: Whole wheat toast, 3 large egg whites, ¼ cup low-fat cottage cheese, 1 medium avocado, salt and pepper to taste.

If you like to Instagram your breakfast: Caprese Avocado Breakfast Toast
Why you need to try it: Hashtag #nofilter! You won’t need it when it comes to this ooze-inducing work of art that will get you more double taps than your latest cat photos. And, let’s face it: Nothing says summer quite like smooth, milky mozzarella paired with fresh basil and ripe grape tomatoes. Just wear a napkin before you dig into this baby, ’cause she’s a messy one!
Ingredients: Your fave bread to taste, 1 cup grape tomatoes, 1 cup mozzarella, ¼ cup chopped fresh basil, 1 tbsp plus 1 tsp olive oil, 1 avocado, 4 whole eggs, salt and pepper to taste.

If sweet and savory is your fave combination: Ricotta Toast With Strawberries, Basil & Honey
Why you need to try it: Just sweet enough to pair perfectly with the savory elements in the ricotta cheese, this recipe combo tastes as classy as it looks. Not only is it a satisfying breakfast toast, but it also makes a great appetizer addition to any summer soiree you may be hosting.
Ingredients: Your choice of bread, ½ cup ricotta cheese, 1 tsp lemon zest, 8 ripe strawberries, basil leaves, honey, salt and pepper to taste.

If cheese is one of your main food groups: Cheesy Baked Egg Toast
Why you need to try it: Not much bad can come from gooey, melted cheese over perfectly toasted bread. And this recipe proves it. If you’ve ever endured the magic that is a French croque monsieur, you are sure to enjoy this easy take on one of France’s finest delicacies. Foodie tip: Use a teaspoon to press down firmly on the bread to create enough settling room for the egg and cheese!
Ingredients: 2 eggs, bread, butter, shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican gives a little more flavor), cooking spray.

If you think pizza for breakfast is always a good idea: Super Easy Tomato Cheese Toast
Why you need to try it: The Bagel Bites commercials had one thing right: Pizza in the morning, pizza in the evening, pizza at supper time. But you don’t need a store- or restaurant-bought version to enjoy the same mouthwatering taste. In fact, coming up with your own version also allows for a healthier option. And this one is definitely something to add to your repertoire – for breakfast, lunch or dinner!
