4 Ways to Get your Fitness Mojo Back

Well, it’s now the end of February, how are your New Year’s resolutions going?  Finding yourself spending more time watching House of Cards than you care to admit? Not to worry, we’ve all been there. Here’s how to give your fitness routine a facelift:

1. Start small

Whatever happens, do not freak out! It’s easy to overwhelm yourself by doing too much, too soon. It’s better to slowly develop a routine while finding your new passion for fitness. Plus, there’s less chance of injury or burning out. Hooray!

2. Recruit your friends

It’s easier to be somewhere if your best friend is waiting for you. And if you need an extra boost – your friends can hold you accountable to your goals.

3. Love it

As a former college rower, I was bummed by the lack of options to continue recreationally in NYC. A friend recommended spinning and running, and I couldn’t be happier. (Plus, have you seen those rivers?) Fall in love with the help of the ClassPass and explore all that NYC’s fitness scene has to offer.

4. Reward yourself

Motivation dips without specific goals. Set small doable goals like going to the gym 2x per week for 1 month. After that month, reward yourself with a new goal and a workout tank or manicure. You know you can never have too much Lululemon…
