see all reviewsI have been to many of Emily’s classes and usually they always leave me feeling like I just worked out muscles I didn’t know existed! This class however took that to the next level to the point where the moves felt slightly awkward and there wasn’t great flow. I’m not sure if she was trying out a new sequence/playlist but even as someone who is an “intermediate” Pilates girl this class left me confused. That being said she’s a great instructor and is always there to make sure you’re doing the moves correctly- no matter how confusing they are!

Arms were pumped in the beginning, went to our knees and got in more triceps while getting in a slight, but needed, leg stretch before going all the way down to the floor for the some amazing thigh, hip and butt workouts. The 8 second countdown ends up being like 20 which is annoying as a client. I think if you see a lot of instructors / strong clients breaking it’s time to get us out of the move. This was especially uncomfortable on the twisted exercises. I saw a lot of people modify for center core instead so I think something to be aware of :) but she’s awesome with such good energy!

see all reviewsThe studio is nice. It is in a shopping center. I got there 15 minutes early per the instructions on ClassPass and they will have you complete a waiver and take a picture of you. I asked what was the reason behind the picture and it is to put a face to the name but it felt very intrusive. The instructor was very nice and did a good job of going over the moves. I think this workout is beginner friendly just make sure you arrive in enough time for them to go over the machine if you are new to it.

Less pop overplayed songs and more fun upbeat electronic music. For example, other studios do theme rides with music from John Summit, Rufus, Dom Dolla, Fred Again, Odesza, Zhu, Sofi Tucker, etc. Would love to see more music like that for spin at Grit!
