    CHI REVIVAL

It was a really good class. Im very new to fitness and a bit out of shape so some of the moves were really challenging for me- I had to take a few breaks to catch my breath especially with all those planks. But overall I wouldn’t say I was intimidated. I managed to do all the moves (but with some self-imposed breaks as mentioned) and it burned but the pace was just good enough that I never felt like it was too, too much. I’m also not the type of person who meditates so I thought that part would be weird but- and I say this will all honesty- I was AMAZED at how I felt almost emotional at the end. I don’t know why, maybe it’s because after that workout I felt more connected to my body than ever, but when Rachelle said ‘thank your body, thank your sweat’ I really felt it. Overall great class, a good balance of many things, didn’t feel too short or too long, and I left feeling great.

This class always makes me so happy! So much fun! Only comment is I wish Alix takes some time at the start of choreo to show the moves first, not just doing them during the song. As a beginner, it was a little hard for me to follow. But overall, so much fun and positive energy!

This was my first time at Balance it was such a great experience! The location is easy to find, and it’s a fitness hub which is useful if you want a workout after classes or looking for other offerings. The class small and is nice since you have the balance of in-person & virtual attendees at the same time which was really cool. This studio is great if you’re looking to enhance your flexibility and motivation throughout the day, I could def see this being held outside as the instructor was high energy, and an amazing personality and great instructor to have. No pressure what level you’re at he was attentive for both newbies and regulars and provided assistance when needed and super encouraging and positive. Definitely looking forward to their Friday class that I was invited to come after my session!!

    Adult Classical Ballet - Intro

My friend and I had so much fun tonight! One of the first things I noticed (and loved) was the diversity of the group in terms of race and age. Some students were complete beginners like myself while others were more experienced. Eleanor made sure it was a safe space to make mistakes and that everyone could find a level that was comfortable for them. She has such good analogies to help you with your form and she is so funny! I would highly recommend her class, especially for beginners 🤍
